Hey there! I’m Quinn, a grant consultant, digital marketing strategist, and self-professed Type A who’s passionate about helping mission-driven businesses achieve their goals. With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit, digital marketing, and media space, I’ve seen firsthand the power of storytelling and strategic planning to make a real difference.

Academic Shenanigans

My journey began at the University of Delaware, where I earned my finance degree with minors in international development and management information systems in 2008. I wasn’t done there, though. Fueled by a desire to make a global impact, I pursued a master’s degree in international development from Tulane University, graduating in 2012. To round things out, I earned a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University that same year, which equipped me with the skills to navigate the complex world of nonprofits.

Professional Potpourri

My professional path has been anything but linear, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It all started in Honduras with Mi Esperanza, where I saw firsthand the resilience of individuals living in extreme poverty and worked on education and economic empowerment programs. From there, I transitioned to United Way of the Greater Triangle, leading impactful fundraising campaigns and raising an annual budget of $12.5 million.

Next, I moved to the North Carolina Community Foundation, where I facilitated grant administration and strategic partnerships, securing significant funding for community initiatives. After that, I spent four and a half years at a local media company, where I played a key role in launching a strategic creative marketing agency focused on economic development work across North Carolina. This experience broadened my skills in digital marketing, brand strategy, and economic development.

Currently, I’m the Founder and CEO of Q.E.N. Strategic Consulting, where I leverage my extensive background to help purpose-driven organizations tell their stories compellingly, secure funding, and achieve their missions. I also have the pleasure of working with Transform VC as a marketing and communications fellow, supporting Black, female, and Middle Eastern/North African founders using AI and deep tech to create positive change.

IRL – In Real Life

But enough about work – let’s talk life. I’m a proud Black woman who grew up in a rural town in western Pennsylvania. Being one of the few people of color on teams throughout my career has taught me the importance of perseverance and advocacy. I love to travel, indulge in spicy food (melted cheese and bacon, anyone?), and spend time with my chosen family.

Pottery is a passion of mine, although it’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to get my hands dirty. I’ve got a 12-year-old pup named Pedro who’s been my constant companion through thick and thin. Developing others into good leaders and helping them see challenges through a broader lens is what gets me up in the morning.
